One of my favorite destinations is the French Riviera; beautiful charm, delicious food + wine, and picturesque views.
Here is my go-to itinerary for a 5 day trip in the fabulous French Riviera.
Fly into Nice, France airport and book a hotel downtown. My husband and I stayed at a quaint boutique hotel - The Jay Hotel. The hotel is charming, good service and in a great location. Walking distance to the train and close to the Mediterranean Sea.
First Day in Nice, France:
Explore the stunning Villa at Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. The house is beautiful and garden view is breathtaking. After exploring the house and garden we stopped in the dining room for a glass of Rose' and lunch. https://www.villa-ephrussi.com/en
Another home to explore is Villa Kerylos, a beautiful Greek style home with gorgeous views. http://www.villakerylos.fr/en/
After exploring both of the beautiful homes go for a walk along the Mediterranean Sea and Côte d'Azur.
Second Day:
Monaco in the morning
Take the train from Nice to Monaco in the morning to tour beautiful Monaco! Explore the Prince's Palace, car museum, yachts and look at the breathtaking views. https://www.palais.mc/en/museum-and-visits/the-state-apartments-1-26.html
Second Day:
Afternoon Wine Tour in the Bellet region
Half day wine tour in the French Riviera. You cannot go to the French Riviera without going to a vineyard(s)! Sip delicious wines and learn about history in quaint wineries. Have a bite before you go, the tour is only for sipping wines.
Third Day:
Cannes
Cannes is known for their film festival, charming shops, delicious cafes, beautiful beaches and views. Stroll through Le Suquet and go to the top to reach a museum for panoramic views.
Take the train to Cannes to eat, shop, and explore!
Third Day Evening:
Monte Carlo, Monaoc
Explore the extravagant Monte Carlo Casino, have a drink and do a little betting! After, enjoy dinner and take the train back to Nice! You cannot take an Uber from Monaco to Nice, but you can take a cab if you prefer.
Fourth Day/Night:
Explore Nice!
Go to the beach, walk up to Colline du Chateau (Castle Hill) and eat + drink along the sea!
Stop by St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral. The inside of the church is absolutely stunning.
Fifth Day:
Saint Tropez
Take a boat from the Nice Port to Saint Tropez.
Saint Tropez is known for sailing, gorgeous sea views, quaint restaurants and shopping. Explore the ruined castles near the 17th century Citadel and overlook beautiful Saint Tropez.
I hope you enjoyed my post and safe travels to the French Riviera!
